Irvine Golf club

  In this blog I will discuss my experience at Irvine golf club.  Set in a seaside location at Bogside, albeit mostly on higher ground away from the coast and without any real views of the sea, there are a variety of holes at Irvine that will ensure a memorable round. The sandy fairways are mainly divided by gorse and heather; this frames each hole beautifully but also draws out the excellent bunkering on many of the holes too.  Yesterday myself accompanied by 3 friends made a last minute decision to play a round at Irvine off the back of numerous recommendations. Golf is a sport which I have played regularly since I was 14 at my local  club.  However recently  I   have  been playing more than ever due to the global pandemic. Whats the point of this blog? Entertainment only. Don't take it too seriously I am only sharing my candid views on rounds of golf I have played.  Golf is such a versatile game in the sense that you can play on your own or with up to three of your mates at one time and thanks to the handicap system you can compete against anyone no matter how superior they are to you ability wise.
